We opened in October 20th 2002 as a hot spring in the world heritage site of Shirakawago.
You can stay overnight or just enjoy a day trip to Onsen.
Due to the location of the world heritage site, the building and the exterior were designed to be inconspicuous and taken into consideration scenery as possible.
The cypress trees are used lavishly for the inside of the building and it creates a comforting environment with the warmth of wood and hot springs.
The hot springs include sodium chloride mineral springs, so there are the health benefits include recovery from fatigue and improved overall health.
 You can feel comfortable in the hot springs. 

It is Gassho-zukuri inn located on the banks of the river near to Shirakawago Bus Terminal. You can relax while listening to the murmuring of the river and enjoy the countryside atmosphere. We serve homegrown rice and vegetables which were grow reduce pesticides.  At dinner the proprietress will perform the umbrella dance which is a traditional performance in Shirakawa-go.
Enjoy the fresh homemade dinner in  traditional  style.

I recommend the Hida beef with HOBA(leaves of magnolia)on the grill.
The inn is quiet and comfortable.

We are proud of living in our old gassho-zukuri farm house, and we want everyone to to experience the way of life we are living. From Spring to autumn on the front side of the house you can relax on the veranda and enjoy the scenery of the village, and the nature of the Shogawa river on the back side.

Why don't you spend the night in traditional Gassho house inn in Shirakawa-go? In the midst of the corona, we limit the number of guests and strive to be "safe and secure". We are located at the center of a World Heritage village, the gassho-zukuri house which has been protected and preserved by our different generations for 320 years. Over 40 years since we living proud with our delicious homegrown rice and local ingredients and which nature provides. We would like to continue pursuing "the living proud way of life" while preserving our gassho-zukuri house.
We look forward to see you from the bottom of our heart.

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new restaurant division, “Gassho restaurant Magoemon.

It is a Gassho-zukuri inn in front of the Shirakawa Hachiman Shrine famous as “the Doburoku Festival”.(Doburoku is sake that is home-brewed.
All rooms are Japanese style. 
Please listen to the sounds of nature and spend a relaxing time.
