It is Gassho-zukuri house located nearby Hachiman Shrine and Myouzenji Temple. We serve the dishes with wild seasonal vegetables and river fishes. 

It was a massive house with the entrance reconstructed from a master of fisherman.

It is Gassho-zukuri inn located on the banks of the river near to Shirakawago Bus Terminal. You can relax while listening to the murmuring of the river and enjoy the countryside atmosphere. We serve homegrown rice and vegetables which were grow reduce pesticides.  At dinner the proprietress will perform the umbrella dance which is a traditional performance in Shirakawa-go.
Enjoy the fresh homemade dinner in  traditional  style.

We opened in October 20th 2002 as a hot spring in the world heritage site of Shirakawago.
You can stay overnight or just enjoy a day trip to Onsen.
Due to the location of the world heritage site, the building and the exterior were designed to be inconspicuous and taken into consideration scenery as possible.
The cypress trees are used lavishly for the inside of the building and it creates a comforting environment with the warmth of wood and hot springs.
The hot springs include sodium chloride mineral springs, so there are the health benefits include recovery from fatigue and improved overall health.
 You can feel comfortable in the hot springs.

An accommodation facility with an open-air hot spring bath with free-flowing hot-spring water and a wood-fired sauna in a reused garage.

`Wadaya‘ is a Gassho-zukuri inn surrounded by mountains where you can feel the beauty of  four seasons. We offer local dishes such as Hida beef and magnolia miso and wild seasonal vegetables. In particular, we are proud to serve our homemade rice, which we have carefully grown. The inn's family is the third generations of the Gasso-zukuri's thatched craftsman who have protected the connection with local people through "Yui" as well as the techniques of the thatched roof.

You can choose from the two accomodation plans ,the 18,000 yen or the 15,000 yen . The dinner of the 15,000 yen plan  is not  included Hida beef dishes.
It will cost an extra charge,if you have other requests such as soba dishes and soba sweets.

We insist on using seasonal food such as high grade wagyu beef, river fish, wild vegetables with irori fireplace.

The inn is located on the banks of the Shogawa River which flows between Hida and  Hokuriku region. There was “Kagonowatasi”which is ‘a rope-bridge crossed in a basket’ connecting　Shirakawa-go and Gokayama distrct. Since then we have been loved by many tourist.

Though time has passed and the bridges and the roads have been constructed, we interact with the spirit of hospitality born and raised in a country village deep in snow.
