Announcement of the 2026 “40th Shirakawa-go Light-Up” Schedule! (July 1, 2025)
The “Shirakawa-go Light-Up,” a beloved winter tradition at the World Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go, will celebrate its 40th edition in 2026. ✨
Why not create unforgettable memories while gazing at the magical sight of the gassho-style village beautifully illuminated? 🎵🎵🎵
At this time, we are only announcing the event dates. Reservations for accommodations, transportation, and other services will begin in September.
Details such as event content and the reservation system are still under discussion and will be published on the official website of the Shirakawa-go Tourism Association around early September. Please stay tuned.
Important Notices:
The Light-Up event is reservation-only.
Visitors without a reservation will not be allowed to participate, even if they come on the day of the event.
Drone photography is strictly prohibited.
