From the entrance of the parking lot at Seseragi Park to the Shirakawa-go IC on the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway
Shirakawa-go usually receives a large number of visitors during the year-end and New Year's holidays, causing heavy congestion on the surrounding roads.
When coming to Shirakawa-go, please be on time and drive safely.
In addition to the Seseragi Park Parking Lot, we will use the Midajima Park Temporary Parking Lot and Terao Temporary Parking Lot, but all parking lots will be full, causing traffic congestion from the parking lots toward the Shirakawa-go IC.
Normally, it takes about 10 minutes from the Shirakawa-go IC to the parking lot, but if there is traffic congestion, it may take more than one hour depending on the situation.
The capacity of Shirakawa-go Gassho-Zukuri Village is limited, and it is very difficult to accommodate more visitors by securing temporary parking spaces.
Public transportation (highway buses, etc.) will also experience significant delays in arrival and departure times at the Shirakawa-go Bus Terminal due to traffic congestion.
We recommend that you arrive early (*before around 10:00 a.m.) to avoid traffic jams, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation to check traffic information carefully and plan accordingly.
